Have any other mums of boys found this problem? You step into a high street store and are faced with an enormous selection of gorgeous clothes for little girls which dwarf the sad few racks of boys clothes right next door. I love dressing Caterpillar up as if he is my personal ken doll (but so much hipper) and I always have done but I can’t help but notice that most shops, and online stores, cater more towards the baby girl market.
That’s why when I stumbled across Lucus Frank on Twitter I was so excited. Finally an online store entirely for boys. One look at their site also told me that I loved their style too. Their tagline is “Boyish & British” and this sums up their look beautifully. I’m a huge fan of anything quintessentially British and, from smart polos to adorable rugby shirts, these clothes don’t disappoint. If you’re a tea-on-the-lawn, long-walks-in-the-chilly-woods or sipping-Pimms-at-a-seaside-pub kinda person then you will adore Lucus Frank.
Little Caterpillar is quite the model these days, if you please, and I can’t get over how gorgeous he looks in these two items.
The first is this lovely Farne Polo Shirt. I love the two-tone colours – they are incredibly bold and look great together. The material is really soft and breathable and easily straddles the line between smart and casual. I love the added details – like the LF emblem badge and the cream tab at the bottom, small details like this really set Lucus Frank apart. There is definitely a schoolboy feel about this brand which I think is so cute.
This lovely hoodie is such incredible quality, the minute I took it out of the box I noticed the difference in weight to the jumpers Caterpillar usually wears. The fleece inside is beautifully soft and the finish is just lovely. I especially love the quilting detail on the shoulders and elbow pads, and the cream taping inside the collar. The sweet lighthouse symbol again adds a lovely touch. As with the polo, the hoodie’s colours are wonderful and so easy to match with other clothes.
I have to be honest, Lucus Frank does have a slightly higher end price tag than most brands we usually go for however this is more than mirrored in the quality – heavy, luxurious fabrics with imaginative detailing make these clothes worth the money. Plus, they would make a wonderful gift too.
If you want to see more of their range (the cricket jumpers are so sweet I could actually squeal a little) then visit Lucus Frank online or find them on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram.
Disclosure: This is a collaborative post. All words and opinions are my own.
It’s good to see something a bit different and if decent quality for boys. I love mine to look smart but struggle with the lack of one off shops.

Oh I’ve never tried Zara, thanks for the tip xx
I find clothes shopping for Mini M so frustrating sometimes, boys definitely get a raw deal. This sounds great #triedtested
Couldn’t agree more! Thanks for reading x
Its lovely when you find a brand you love. As a mum to girls I have always noticed there is so much more on offer for them then boys #funkykidfriday
I did a little happy dance when I read this as there is seriously a lack of clothes for boys. Since we now have two and I’m allowed no more I will have to embrace boys clothing so I am really happy you wrote this!! Thank you #MarvMondays xx

What a cutie! I’ve heard of this issue with boys vs girls clothes, but never really had to deal with it as we have a little girl. However, we have just had a new baby boy so this might be something that I start to learn for myself over the next few months/years so its great to be introduced to this brand! Thanks for linking up to #MarvMondays. Emily
Ooh I’ve never heard of these, will check them out x

I’ve experienced the same! It is so easy to shop for a baby girl, endless rows of tutus, dresses, boots and everything in between. For boys, not so much. #raisingboys I tell you
