I don’t mind admitting that I let my 3-year-old play games and watch videos on my phone. I used to swear I wouldn’t but that was before I had children and was basically an idiot. Now I understand that sometimes you just need that option to occupy them (when travelling on public transport is a good example!) and when you do allow screen time you want the game to be educational and beneficial to their development.
When Kidloland approached me to ask if we’d like to take a look at their new app, I’ll confess to being a little sceptical. With so many free apps I wondered if it was necessary to actually pay for a subscription, however when I saw the sheer volume of rhymes, songs, games & activities Kidloland provide I could definitely see the value. With 300+ songs and more than 250 games and activities there is so much to keep your child entertained without the risk of them becoming quickly bored as with some of the free apps.
The range of activities are extremely varied:
- Every traditional nursery rhyme you can think of plus some more modern children’s songs
- A fantastic phonics section, divided up by letter and using a combination of songs and activities to teach your child those important early letter sounds
- Games that cover a whole range of skills from puzzles & connect the dots to shape, number & colour recognition and problem-solving.
- Some activities that are pure fun but even then encourage fine motor and technology skills.
- There are themes to suit all passions, so whether your child loves animals, vehicles, space or dinosaurs there is something for their taste (/obsession!).
- There is always an element of fun included. For example, with the puzzle games once the shapes are complete the puzzle image comes alive and sometimes even interactive.
- Bright & bold animations
- Amusing, adorable characters and cute effects
- Each game is a decent length to keep your child occupied
- Well organised categories
- No interruptions from frustrating ads
- Different levels for different age ranges – from young toddlers to older preschoolers
Cost & subscription plan
- £3.99 for 1 month
- £18.99 for 6 months
- £29.99 for 1 year (The best value option)

Fun and games for children can be beneficial to the family etc. It is wonderful to see youngsters have fun, learn, develop, sharing and caring.
lovely prize would lbe great to learn more things x
I hadn’t heard of this app before but it looks brilliant! I have a 5 yr old girl who could teach me a thing or two about techie things but I also have a 19 month old and she really wants to join in and play on my phone or tablet but I always worry about whether things are suitable for her. I think she would really love this!
This app has so many games and rhymes that is brilliant! Would definitely be a win for any families going on holidays to keep kids busy whilst on planes etc- just makes that a bit easier! #marvmondays

Perfect for travel, yes! Thanks xx
I can imagine little ones wanting to spend hours playing with this app. #MarvMondays
I must admit I’d rather pay an outright purchase price than an on going subscription to something like this.
Thanks for sharing your review on #TriedTested this week x

Great review, I keep hearing lots of good things about this app. Definitely one to consider the next time we are looking for a new app for the little one 🙂 Thanks for sharing this on #MarvMondays. Emily
Great prize. Fingers crossed.
I love your list of easy to see benefits, bright and bold is something I would look for #TriedYTested
I agree with Colette on her previous comment, I would rather pay out right than instalments to a subscription.
Looks like a fun app though 🙂 #TriedTested
