Colouring Books With A Twist (Plus Giveaway!)

Colouring1

Welcome back to the Butterfly Book Club and apologies for the long break.  I’m hoping to get all my regular features back up and running now and I’m starting with a lovely one – a treat for parents instead of little ones this week.

This week I’m sharing three new colouring books that I’ve discovered recently and, more importantly, I’m offering a set to one lucky reader too (enter using Rafflecopter below).  They are all from Phoenix Yard Books and the first is this beautiful Elephant Parade Postcard Book.  As you know, I love adult colouring and believe it’s really beneficial to our mental wellbeing as a source of self-care. But as well as being a great experience for the colourer why not brighten a friend’s day at the same time by sending your work in the form of a lovely postcard?

Colouring7This book large postcards were created in collaboration with Elephant Parade, a social enterprise who run the world’s largest art exhibition of decorated elephant statues, and that beauiful artwork clearly influences the lovely images included in the collection.  In our modern world it is so rare to recieve anything handwritten in the mail but one of these postcards, perhaps with some hand-written words of encouragement, would be a lovely treat.  Or why not send it blank for your friend to colour themselves?

Similarly, the One & Only Mini Mandala Colouring Book also contains detachable cards which can be used as postcards of notes.  I plan on using them as artwork though; once coloured you can detach and adhere several to a frame or hang individually.  I love colouring mandala’s because I find the repetative pattern so soothing but what is especially great about these is the size.  Finding time for hobbies is really difficult and I hate having to leave a page unfinished, because these are so small you can easily finish in one session.

Colouring8Lastly is The Second Colouring Book For Travelling Adults.  This is a gorgeous A5 book which contains illustrations across a variety of themes.  It’s lightweight and spiral bound so perfect for taking on holiday or a flight or train journey.  I particularly love the summery spread opposite of pineapples and sweet treats.
